Beginner Quests: Beginning at level 6 and after turning in a Weapon Exchange Coupon, characters are able to advance more easily to their first job change by obtaining specific Gran Age gold quest suggestions from the Newbie Guides in their starting village.

The Newbie Guides provide bonus experience, SP, and Adena for completing the quests they suggest for your character.

When you accumulate Vitality Points and raise your Vitality Level, the bonus experience points that you acquire increase in proportion to your Vitality Level.

When you obtain experience points by hunting regular monsters rather than bosses or raid monsters, Vitality Points are consumed.

You can check your character's Vitality Level (indicated by one to four horizontal bars on the far left of the Vitality Bar) by viewing either your Status Window or your Character Status Page.

Q. So if their heals are so low and they die so quickly, what good are they?

A. Well, if you dismiss the cute factor (and they are so very cute), they do help melee classes cut the downtime for soloing considerably.

But they are expensive to get and you have to keep up with food and rez scrolls so they aren't for everyone.
